Our Services

Based in Warwickshire, Perennis Gardening offers a professional and reliable garden service to its clients.  We also love what we do! Here are just some of the services we offer.

Free Consultation

Potential clients will receive a 30-minute free consultation to discuss their gardening requirements.  After the consultation, there will be no obligation on the client’s part to contract Perennis Gardening to work for them and equally, if Perennis feels it cannot offer the help the client needs, then this will be identified straight away.  Please book here for your free consultation.

Advice, Planning & Rejuvenation

Perennis will advise on the layout and content within a garden, and provide ways in which to rejuvenate the space outside.  If a client wishes to completely alter the layout of the garden, this may require the services of a garden designer who will carry out a more formalised design.
Perennis can suggest a hard landscaping specialist if required.

Planting Schemes

Perennis will give guidance on planting schemes for the garden.  We will work alongside the client to discuss their preferences and will advise on where plants will thrive best in the garden and how a wide range of plants can give your garden structure, colour, texture and scent.

As a useful reference, the RHS Perfect for Pollinator Garden Plants is a comprehensive list of ‘Bee Friendly’ plants and a wonderful guide for clients who are interested in supporting wildlife in their garden.  Click here to download the list of plants.  The RHS has also brought out the RHS Perfect for Pollinator Wildflower Plants that can be downloaded here.

As an additional service, Perennis can offer to source plants from reputable nurseries on behalf of the client.

Garden Maintenance

Perennis will maintain your garden by visiting it on either a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis. Perennis will only undertake work for a minimum of two hours at any one time. Garden maintenance involves weeding, digging as required, tidying of borders and pathways, cutting back, dead-heading, pruning (see Specialist Pruning below), composting, mulching and edging of lawns.  Perennis will be happy to provide a contractor who can undertake mowing if required.

Plant Care

Perennis will manage the care of your plants by maintaining a good soil structure from which plants need to establish a healthy growth pattern.  A mulch application of organic matter and addition of fertilisers can help to improve the soil structure and nutrients available to the plants.  These can be purchased on behalf of the client.  Pest and diseases can be managed using an Integrated Pest Management system of care with the minimum use of chemicals.  Perennis believes in using cultural and organic methods where possible.  Maintaining a healthy and weed-free garden can reduce the need for chemicals.   We will work to the clients’ wishes.

Specialist Pruning

We offer a specialist pruning service that can be carried out at the optimum time suited to the types of shrubs and trees in the garden. We will make sure that your plants receive the best care in order to help them thrive. This will involve deadheading after flowering, removing dead, diseased and damaged stems and pruning to sustain a manageable size and shape.   For a small charge, Perennis will remove any large prunings that cannot be placed in your green waste bin.

Soil Testing

To get the best out of your plants and to know what plants to grow in a garden, it is necessary to know whether the soil is alkaline or acidic. If a client is unsure about the pH of their soil or its texture, then Perennis will be happy to send off soil samples to either Pershore College or the RHS for a detailed lab report. Both Pershore College and the RHS make a charge for this service.

Equipment and Insurance

We bring our own tools and are fully insured up to £5 million public liability.
